$750 Million World Bank Grant Facility For MSMEs
$750 million world bank grant begins across the various state of the federation including the state capital. There are lot of speculation weather the grant will still hold or not. But to the information available we are to remain calm and wait for the process.
By the statement made by the S.A to the minister of finance on media and communication Mr. Paul Ella Abechi, he say in no distant time Nigerians will start accessing the World Bank $750 million World Bank Grant Facility.
This statement was made during the 7th community practice made of the state commissioners of Planning and Budgeting in Abuja. The senior special adviser representing the honorable minister Mrs. Zainab Shamsuna Ahmed says the grant will begin as soon as possible.

The grant is specifically for those business that are largely affected by the covid-19 pandemic. There is a need for survival of such businesses. Because of the need for the survival of the business the Federal government are making plans for business to access the loan that will cushion the effect of the covid-19.
The minister says that this year was so good and will give a grant to the group that has done well. The minister said the form for the granting of the grant will soon be made available for all the states and FCT to access as soon as possible.
“We are in the process of going to the Federal Executive Council (FEC) to get the approval; the World Bank on its own has already approved this and others. So we hope that you will continue to implement your fiscal responsibility so that you will qualify for this facility as well as the grant”
During the Federal Executive meeting, President Buhari acknowledged the gesture done by the world bank and vowed to make the $750M implementation process seamless to benefit Nigerians
